Warren Miller Movie Comes to Timber Ridge
This winter, Warren Miller celebrates 60 years of filmmaking with the release of Warren Miller’s Dynasty. This new film not only features fresh cinematography but also Midwest skiers Adam and Luke Schrab, now Terrain Park designers from Timber Ridge Ski Area and Boyne Mountain, Michigan. The twins also provide Timber Ridge with their expertise in staging and producing outstanding Rail Jam Events. Under the direction of the Schrab Twins, the Timber Ridge Mountain Staff made and moved 8 tons of snow to create the masive jump used in the Warren Miller Movie "Dynasty".
From October through December 2009, Warren Miller’s Dynasty will crisscross the country on a nationwide film tour. The Schrab twins with the Hoot-En-Anny Bus and other local talent will also make live appearances on the following dates:
->Kalamazoo at the State Theatre, downtown Nov. 20-21-- Shows at 8pm & Nov.22 --Show at 3pm.
->Three Rivers, downtown at the Riviera Theatre Friday, Dec. 4th, Movie at 7:30pm
->Grand Rapids at the Grandville High School near Rivertown Mall Saturday, Dec 5th Shows at 3pm & 7:30pm.
The Schrab twins are not new to the Warren Miller films. Their first was a 1998 film, “fifty”. Quickly followed by two films: “RIDE” and “Cold Fusion”. For this year’s film, the twins rolled out their latest invention, the “sport bike rope tow”. With a little help from Timber Ridge, Mother Nature, and a dozen of the local boarders and skiers the results can be seen in the movie “Dynasty”.
