Seriously timber ridge its time to get real.  I can get a weekday lift ticket to boyne mountain for 39 dollars.  You guys are not running a ski resort out west you are running a hill that you spend more time riding the lift than skiing.

Hermin,

37 isnt all that bad, and boyne doesnt have 37 dollar tickets and if they did, it wouldnt be worth the drive at $1.00 a gallon in gas let alone +3.00 a gallon.  Give me a break, out west resorts are close to twice as much, so why don't you walk up your nearest sledding hill and get used to the whims of mother nature and the grooming skills of the neighborhood kids with their state of the art, what do they call them, oh yeah shovels.  any way snow is not cheap to make, snow is not cheap to groom and getting to the top of a hilll is not cheap either.  Throw in the liability insurance for a sport that people seem to think is not inherently dangerous and  you get a 37 dollar lift ticket. So either happily purchase your lift ticket or shut up and go to your neighborhood sledding hill.

sincerely,

GT

Actually GT this is nothing but price gouging in the extreme. Its stabbing parents right in their wallet while their kids are on winter vacation and want to go skiing or snow boarding. Its ironic how right after kids go back to school the prices go back down. Saying 40 bucks for a lift ticket at boyne isn't worth it is also stupid. This is what I get for my 40 bucks at boyne. "This lift ticket is valid from 9am - 4:30pm. It does not include night skiing. Lift tickets for Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands are interchangeable! That means you get 2 mountains totaling 115 runs, 7 terrain parks, 3 pipes, 845 skiable acres, 75km of northern Michigan cross country skiing trails and more on one ticket! BOYNE features 115 downhill runs across Two Mountains, a variety of terrain parks for the beginning skier and snowboarder to the expert, the only six person high-speed chairlift in Michigan and many more lifts allowing you to get the... most out of your time on the slopes. And there's snow tubing, snowshoeing, ice skating on frozen ponds and more!"

Also out west you might pay twice as much but they are accutally mountains that you have to take multiple chair lifts, I could chair lift to the top once and ski all the way down to the bottom of the resort and probably spend more time time on my skis then you would in 20 runs at timber ridge.

Hermin, Please go to Boyne, that would mean 1 less idiot to deal with because you are obviously not a business owner or you would figure out how to get around the IRS and write the freaking ticket off! BTW-if you buy the early season pass and get a few friends (7) you can actually cut the ticket price in about half and ski when no one is there all day long all winter long! DISCLAIMER: I am in no way affliated with the Ownership, just a thankful skier for the snow TR produces...nice people out there!
