Friday Night Fights 2012

Swiss Valley vs. Timber Ridge

Description

An annual rail jam series at Timber Ridge and Swiss Valley, the two most progressive ski areas in southwest Michigan. Midwest’s Best Skiers and Snowboarders will throw down their best tricks Friday nights at 6:30 in the evening in the terrain parks throughout the 2012 season. Prizes will be awarded in numerous categories including skiing, snowboarding, females, and overall one hill against the other! The Swiss Valley riders will attempt to win back the traveling trophy that Timber Ridge took home after last year’s final fight!

Dates & Times & Locations

Registration is in the Ski Shop from 5:00 pm to 6:25 pm before every event.

Rail Jam Sessions begin on the following Friday nights at 6:30 pm in the terrain parks

Schedule:

January 20, 2012 - FNF2 at Swiss Valley

February 17, 2012 - FNF3 at Timber Ridge

February 24, 2012 - FNF4 at Swiss Valley

Registration Information

The entry fee covers all four rail jams, event T-shirt, and raffle drawing entry! The sooner, the better ‘cause it will still cost the same if you choose to wait until the 4th Fight! See lift ticket windows for registration location. Lift tickets will be available to paying competitors that do not have a season pass at that Fight’s location for a discounted rate of  ½ off normal Friday night pricing. Competitors must be 18 years or older and fill out a registration form and a liability waiver from both hills. Competitors under 18 will need a parent’s signature to compete. More info can be found at either of the hill’s websites:

Prizes and awards

Prizes will be awarded along with medals for each category of competition. All athletes will automatically be included in a raffle, which will be held at Timber Ridge on the last night of competition. Athletes must be present to win small prizes—large prizes will be stored until the athlete can stop by in case they are unable to make the final jam. As you know, a totally cool Best in the Midwest Traveling Terrain Park Trophy will be awarded to the hill that averages the most points throughout the series!

Safety

Helmets must be worn at all times. This rail jam event is suited primarily for athletes with significant terrain park and rail sliding experience. Competitors may only have 1 or 2 rails from which to choose for their tricks. Event and ski area assumes no responsibility for who may or may not participate so use your best judgment!
