For Immediate Release KIDS RULE THE RIDGE AT THE TIMBER RIDGE EXPO Timber Ridge will host the Annual Kids Expo Sunday, January 24. 2010 Gobles, MI, Dec. 22, 2009--- Going stir crazy? Timber Ridge Ski Resort has just the thing for kids ages five and older. This weekend they will be hosting the second annual Kids Rule the Ridge Expo both on the slopes and in the Lodge. The main focus will be in the cafeteria from 1pm-3pm where they will highlight fun things to do in the winter. Also featured will be: The Timber Wolves & Tykes programs, J.D.T Racing, Young Chefs Academy, Lee's Adventure Sports, Junior Ski Patrol, Teach You Tot to Ski, the YMCA, and the Balloon Guy. The slopes will be open from 9am - 8pm. Special rates and programs will be available throughout the day. Including the popular Family Learn to Ski Program, which starts at noon, this Sunday only. Rates are $30 for skiing and $33 for snowboarding, with lift, lesson and rental for ages 8 and up. Lessons are held on the hour from 1pm, with the last lesson at 5pm (ages 8 through adult). Family Learn to Ski / Snowboard, Begins at 12 noon LIFT, LESSON, RENTAL-$30. skiing $33. Snowboarding ( 8 years old thru, adult) Lessons at 1 PM, 2 PM, 3 PM, 4 PM & 5 PM Snow Expo in the Cafeteria, 1pm-3pm Show and share with kids all the fun things to do in winter. Teach your Toddler to Ski, 1 pm On the slopes at 1pm there will be a demonstration on how to "Teach Your Toddler to Ski". This event is for parents and children 3 & 4 years of age. To take active part in this event parent and child need to be on skis. This is for a skiing adult who wants to teach their child to ski. Sign - up at the Snow Sports Desk. Penguin Race at 4 pm At 4pm the Penguins take to the slopes for our Annual Penguin Race. Children 5 thru 12 are invited to sign-up at the Snow Sports Desk and try the penguin slide! About Timber Ridge Ski Area Timber Ridge ski area opened in 1963 in beautiful Southwest Michigan. Timber Ridge is a good ski area for the whole family with plenty of easy runs. There are ten lifts serving 15 runs, including numerous terrain features on 50 acres. The ski season runs December through March, weather permitting.
